LiftMaster 893MAX works with green, orange/red, purple and yellow learn buttons
LiftMaster lists the 893MAX for green, orange/red, purple and yellow circle learn buttons. White (Security+ 3.0) is not on that list. The same page says "Compatible with all LiftMaster Garage Door Openers manufactured since January 1993." For a white button, the 893MAX fit is UNKNOWN.
For a white learn button (Security+ 3.0), LiftMaster lists the L993M and L992U, and Chamberlain lists the CHU62.

Two LiftMaster statements that conflict
The 893MAX page says "Compatible with all LiftMaster Garage Door Openers manufactured since January 1993." Its color list leaves out white (Security+ 3.0). LiftMaster's remote compatibility chart marks the 893MAX for all four colors and has no white column. Neither page says whether the 893MAX works with a white learn button: UNKNOWN.
The LiftMaster 8500 manual lists an 893MAX as the remote in the box, programmed at the factory.
