Years HomeLink covers

HomeLink's Ram page lists "1500 (2011 - 2026)" and "2500/3500 (2011 - 2026)", with videos for Chamberlain, LiftMaster and Craftsman; Genie and Overhead Door; and Sommer and Direct Drive (310MHz) openers. Trucks with "an older generation of HomeLink (in model years 2008 and earlier)" have separate videos (HomeLink Ram page). HomeLink's Ram page names no model years 2009–2010 (UNKNOWN).

Rolling-code check

The guide: "Check your garage door opener motor in your garage for a "Learn", "Program", "Smart", or "Train" button by the hanging antenna. If you have one of these, you have a Rolling Code garage door opener." (2026 Quick Start Guide).

Steps in the 2026 guide

All openers start with the remote held 1–3 inches from the HomeLink button. Rolling-code openers then need the opener's Learn, Program, Smart or Train button pressed, then the HomeLink button "up to three times (holding for two seconds each time)". Full steps: Quick Start Guide.

A white learn button (Security+ 3.0) is programmed from the original handheld remote (HomeLink FAQ).
