Genie 2128 programming: the manual Genie links shows a Program/Set button

Genie's 2128 support page links a belt and chain drive manual. Its "Programming Button Layouts (Vary by Models)" figure shows Program/Set (PRGM/SET) buttons only. The manual does not print "2128". Genie dates LEARN CODE buttons to 1995–2011 openers. HomeLink and Car2U steps are on page 13.

The program button

The manual's "Programming Button Layouts (Vary by Models)" figure shows Program/Set buttons only. The manual covers several belt and chain models (Genie manual).

Genie's programming sheet: find "either a square PROGRAM/SET button (PRGM) or round LEARN CODE button"; LEARN CODE openers are "1995-2011" (Genie programming sheet).

Remotes

HomeLink and Car2U

The 2128 support page links "Homelink® Instructions" and "Car2U® Instructions" (Genie 2128 page). The manual: "Some vehicles require HomeLink to be purchased and/or activated by the car dealership" (manual, page 13). Steps: Genie HomeLink page.
